Artist's Statement: This song was written a couple of years ago, inspired by a particular situation that closely resembles the lyrics. However, I'd like to think that it's applicable to all sorts of long-distance-type relationships in which you sometimes have to literally "phone it in" in order to make some sort of connection. It's about those moments when you want so much to be happy for the one you love and the opportunities they might be fulfilling elsewhere, but at the same time want so badly for them to just come home and give what you two have a real shot. It's a not-so-great-at-letting go song. It's a trying-to-keep-it-together song. But mostly, it's just a love song.
